We managed the conversion of a small galley, which was adjacent to the bridge, into a cabin with headroom, to be used by the watch captain. There were drawings available from the construction yard, and the conversion involved the removal of a food lift, selecting and install of a porthole, rerouting of all piping to suit the new bathroom, relocation of access door, redesign of adjacent radio station, full carpentry works, Lloyd’s compliance, and lots of small details. We selected and managed the most suitable contractors for each job, and daily followed the progress onboard. whilst taking care of the finances, ensuring a hassle free support for the Captain. With our mobile office approach, we ended up updating all relevant drawings, and taking care of other small design works requested by the crew.
